Ok, recently people have been swarming my site since march 7th. Why have they begun to do this? Simple:
*I managed to be the admin (for a short while) of hxtp://sourceforge. net/ projects/ rs bo t/ (remove the spaces) and so I placed a link there and a working version of rs bot there. So then after that people come swarming to my site from that page (over 1000 people from that page alone in 3 days) Also people begin to link to me from hxtp :// code.google. com/p /rs bo t 2 /update s/li st as all of this is going on my site rises to the top of google for searches of rsbot dot org (replace dot with . don't want to get this page listed accidentally lol) So now we have a V.I.P section and about 19 forums for people to post their scripts, get help with their scripts & find missing scripts etc! So to keep noobs from going in there I set a 5 post limit before they can view it's subforums. Anyways, it looks like their there to stay... So overall, what would you do if you were in my shoes? Let them stay or try to get rid of them? I'm not really sure what to do. |

If it's noobs asking question about the project, I think you are obliged to try and help them (as long as they are cooperative). If they're asking really simple questions, write up a FAQ.

Only one HUGE problem that scared me... the guy working on it got sued & had site taken down. Regardless someone hacked it http://vgchat.info/forum/announcemen...ker-found.html
PDF containing what appears to be an actual lawsuit is in that post at the very bottom. *shivers* Quote:
